Business intelligence for the digital channel

Having data is not the same as having information. The difference lies in whether the data enables decisions or merely confirms what already happened.

Most digital businesses have more data than they can process. Google Analytics, the ecommerce platform, the CRM, marketplaces, the logistics system, Paid Media platforms: each generates its own report with its own metrics.

The real bottleneck usually isn't the data itself. It's that nobody has connected it, so the people making decisions never get an integrated view of what's happening across the channel. Paid Media reports its ROAS. Marketplaces report their sales. The CRM reports its metrics. Nobody has the complete picture.

Business intelligence for the digital channel starts with defining what decisions need to be made, what data those decisions require, and how to connect that data so it's available when needed. Dashboards come after that, not before.

What we do

Data model audit and design

We identify the available data sources, their quality, and their gaps. We design the data model that connects the relevant sources for the decisions the business needs to make: investment by channel, profitability by product, customer behavior, sales team performance.

Business dashboard implementation

We build dashboards that integrate the relevant metrics from all sources into a single view. The design criterion is to display the data that changes decisions, not all the data available. A dashboard that requires interpretation to draw conclusions is not fulfilling its purpose.

Profitability analysis by channel and product

We connect investment data, cost of acquisition, product margin, and customer value to calculate the true profitability of each channel and each product line. That analysis is the foundation for budget and channel-mix decisions.

Reporting automation

Manual reports are slow and error-prone. We automate reporting so that the relevant data reaches the team when it is needed, without depending on someone to compile it.

Digital observatory and competitive monitoring

For brands that need continuous environment tracking, we design monitoring systems that integrate first-party data with market signals: competitor moves, platform algorithm changes, search trends.

Frequently asked questions

The most common are Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio) for visualization, BigQuery or similar for data storage and processing, and platform-specific connectors. In projects with CRM, Salesforce or HubSpot are usually at the center of the data model. The choice depends on data volume and the complexity of the integrations required.

A basic implementation with the main sources integrated can be operational in four to eight weeks. A full implementation with all channels integrated, a custom attribution model, and automated dashboards can take three to six months. The first useful dashboards can be available before the full implementation is complete.

It depends on the business model, but the most relevant tend to be: CAC by channel, LTV by customer segment, margin by product and by channel, conversion rate by device and source, and ROAS with correct attribution. The typical problem is not a lack of metrics but that they live in separate systems and cannot be cross-referenced.
